I have visited The Door Store perhaps only a handful of times over the many years. It is one of my favourite places in Toronto and I have only ever obtained amazing items and received customer service that goes above and beyond. Today I called looking for a particular product that I knew they were unlikely to have. Instead of brushing me off, the staff member offered to try and help with genuine, friendly customer service that was so refreshing. Sadly, I thought that kind of customer service was a thing of the past (especially here in the city). So whether you visit the store for small decorative pieces, large fancy glass Parisian home elevators (that has been my favourite piece so far) or just to absorb the beautiful displays and collections, you can also expect to be met with friendly, knowledgeable, patient people who really seem to care (no matter how small your request). Love these guys.
We bought a really pretty century old door here which needed a bit of restoration. The staff were super patient with us, answering all our questions, and helping us find matching hardware (hinges, knobs, etc). They even helped to connect us to someone who could fix up a few issues (some bits were coming apart), and install it for us. We couldn't be happier with the service, and with our gorgeous new one of a kind door. Thank you so much!
The people at the Door Store were fantastic. So kind and helpful. They explained carefully to me how to dismantle my entry door set and made the repairs for me while I waited. In all, I made three visits to the Door Store and they were unfailingly kind and helpful. Truly decent people.
Incredible selection of stuff here for all sorts of aesthetics. Something new everytime and an incredibly kind and gracious staff that guides and makes suggestions based on what you're generally after.
This place is fantastic, staff are great, if you need old door hardware this is the place to go. They also have a huge selection of vintage architectural items.

Wonderful and idiosyncratic. Old iron rail ings and door knob sets and of course doors. 2 1/2 inch thick doors to 12 ft high doors and everything in between.
