Best Portuguese cuisine! I have never had a bad meal! Clean my plate every time. We’ve had the pleasure of having Patricia and Rui host very special moments for our family at their restaurant. The food is absolutely delish! And the atmosphere is amazing as well as the service. It feels like home and you’re looked after as if you’re family when you take a seat there to eat. Absolutely a must try I swear you’ll become a regular!

Caloura is one of a kind, from the flavours to the energy. It’s a small business run by the most beautiful, welcoming people. The vibes are warm, soulful, and feels just like home. You can truly taste the love and uniqueness of every dish, a must try! Absolutely worth every visit!
Love the atmosphere as it’s like being in a cozy restaurant back home. Food genuine Portuguese cooking. Always a good time. We enjoy food as often as we can never had issues. Portions are well above great for the price.
I’m from the Azores and if there’s something that we are proud of is our Português food. This is a place that always brings me to my roots. The food is amazing and the staff and owners as well! Going to a restaurant that reminds you about home by food and people is a place you can call home. I believe that says it all!
The owners were surprisingly unfriendly and even raised their voices at children, which was very uncomfortable. The rice was served cold, and overall, the customer service could use significant improvement. A more welcoming and respectful attitude would go a long way.
COVID changed our lives in so many ways. This includes how we work, how we socialize and how we dine out should you still enjoy doing so. Yesterday was my wife's birthday and the days leading up to it, we were trying to figure out where to go for a nice meal to celebrate. To my surprise, she suggested Caloura. This is a small Portuguese Bar and Grill located on Rogers Road near Old Weston Road. In the 18 years we have lived in the neighborhood, we have passed this place almost daily in the 11 years it's been operating. Never gave it a second look nor were we even a little curious. Our assumptions about the place were so wrong. From the moment we walked in we felt like we were visiting Tia Maria's for Sunday lunch. In our case, we were welcomed by Tia Patricia and Tio Rui for what turned out to be traditional home cooked Azorean cuisine. At Caloura, you not only get exceptional food but you also receive outstanding service. My wife is from the Azores so a better judge you could not ask for. From the warm reception to when we were ready to bid farewell, it was hard to say goodbye as is always the case when you are with family. Patricia and Rui, thank you so much for making our Sunday afternoon so enjoyable. Thank you for providing an exceptional meal that I can truly say was made with love and thank you for allowing my wife and I to feel like we were part of your family. Amazing. Authentic Portuguese. Absolutely delicious! Pro tip: If you enjoy white wine I highly recommend "Frei Gigante" it's from Pico Island and is probably my favorite. It's the only place I know of in Toronto which carries it. The "Bacalhau Frito" was also amazing!
