I was looking for a new barber in the area and decided to give this shop a try. After my first cut, I knew I found the right place. The service is consistent, the attention to detail is solid, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. I’ve been going here ever since. Highly recommend
⭐ THE WORST beauty salon experience I’ve ever had in Canada — I deeply regret going there. I wish I could give zero star review. I truly wish I never stepped inside this place. It was a big mistake, a misfortune, and honestly a traumatic experience. I never expected that in a first-world country like Canada, in a major city like Toronto, I would receive such poor customer service, dishonesty, unsafe treatment, and such a horrible haircut. --- ⭐ SHORT SUMMARY (for busy people): I went in for a simple 2–3 cm trim and soft curtain bangs. I left with: 20 cm of my long hair chopped off without permission Extremely short, uneven bangs I never asked for, A burn? on my forehead from a hot iron — my skin peeled, Two hours of stress, anxiety, and wasted time A worker acting angry at ME after burning my skin The worst haircut of my life, I paid money and went home in pain, sadness, and shock — with burnt skin and ugly, uneven hair. You can see the pictures and judge for yourself. --- ⭐ FULL STORY (for people who want details — including the owner): I had grown my hair for years, all the way down to my lower back. I came to this salon for the simplest haircut: Just 2–3 cm off the ends, Soft curtain bangs, Price confirmed at $25 ? 1. The worker (named Francol) pretended he understood — but he did NOT, I explained slowly and clearly three different times. I showed two photos. I showed him the exact length with my hands. He only smiled, nodded his head, and said “yes, yes, I know.” But he didn’t listen. He didn’t understand. And he didn’t admit that he had no experience with women’s hair. This was dishonest and irresponsible. ? 2. He chopped off 18–20 cm of my hair Instead of a small trim, he removed years of growth in minutes. He created: uneven steps, random choppy layers, nothing blended at all. It looked like three different haircuts combined. ? 3. Three different workers started cutting my hair Because the first guy(Francol) didn’t know what he was doing, TWO more people jumped in. I was even told to stand up while they cut random pieces from different angles. My “curtain bangs” became extremely short, blunt baby bangs far above my eyebrows — completely opposite of what I showed them. ? 4. I was physically burned! While trying to “fix” the bangs, a woman named "Ellie" used a hot iron. The iron touched my forehead — the skin immediately burned. She acted like nothing happened. Only when I said “It’s burning so badly” did she bring Vaseline. No apology. No first aid. No care. Later, the skin peeled. I had to treat myself at home with ice, Polysporin, and ointments. This is the part that made me decide to write this review: Mistakes can happen — but her reaction was shocking. Instead of apologizing or showing concern after burning my skin, she frowned at me, acted annoyed, and then tried to charge me double the price. ? 5. Price manipulation and dishonesty Initially: $25 After ruining my hair and burning me: “It’s $50.” When I questioned her, she denied it. Then the older man said $30. Only when I mentioned the burn and damage did they reluctantly agree to the original $25 — while acting angry at me. ? 6. Emotional damage and lost time Because of all this, I lost: Two hours of my evening Uber work income, My mood, my peace, and my trust, YEARS of hair growth, I went home with: a burned forehead, the worst haircut of my life, stress and a migraine, and I still paid for this nightmare! --- ⭐ FINAL THOUGHTS Everyone can make mistakes. But the dishonesty, the lack of responsibility, the unsafe practices, the burn, the rudeness, the price changing, and the complete lack of empathy were shocking. This was the most unprofessional and traumatizing salon experience of my entire life. I truly hope my review prevents other clients from experiencing the same pain I went through.
Showed the guy a video of what I wanted he ended up giving me bowl cut, I told him I want my beard to be thick and he needed up cutting it short. Don’t go here if you have straight hair.
