Fake Dr. Nofil Akhar Denied Me A Cancer Screening, Abdominal Ultrasound Since I Have So Much Abdominal Pain. He Said, I Can Tell There Is Nothing Wrong With You At By Looking At You. What? He Said, You Don’t Have Any Abdominal Pain Or Disease. I Won’t Send You To Cancer Screening Until Your 50 Years Old. After That I Showed Him A WSIB REPORT OF AN ULTRASOUND A Year Ago After Forklift Work Injury. An Ultrasound Showed Cervical Spine and Lumbar Spine Degenerative Disc Disease In Mid To Lower Cervical Spine, L4- 5 and MIR Showed Torn Right Knee ACL Ligament. I am 5 Months From 40 Years and Was Heavy Alcohol Drinker, Excessive Cigarettes & Marijuana User. Last Time I Had A Family Doctor Was in 1998. I Always Went To The Emergency or Walk In Clinic. 6 Months Ago Walked Into Dr. Nofil’S Clinic. He Asked Me If I Have A Family Doctor and I Told Him No. He Said He Can Be My Family Doctor And I Said Okay Thank You. What A Regret of Not Checking The Reviews! I Told Him I Would Like A Health Check Up and He Send Me To 10 Different Blood and Urine Test. When The Results Came In He Said, You Only Have Very High Cholesterol Nothing Else. How Is He My Family Doctor But Doesn’t Care About My Heath?
I had an appointment yesterday at 11:00 AM with the family doctor. When I arrived today, the receptionist named Hafsa spoke to me very rudely. I told her I had an appointment, but she said other people were ahead of me, even though my appointment was already scheduled. There was only one doctor available, and the place seemed very disorganized. Hafsa’s attitude was unprofessional and disrespectful. I would not recommend this clinic to others.
If I could leave no stars I would. Dr Aktar does not care about his patients. He only cares about getting the Ohip number. He would not give me a repeat over the phone for a non narcotic drug for my migraine. Instead he made me come in to see him the next day when I was extremely nauseous and could not see and then would not prescribe me anything because he thought I should go to the hospital and wait in the waiting room for 8 hours to get a non narcotic prescription that I’ve had before and doesn’t work. He could have just as easily prescribed me the non narcotic prescription and sent me home. I’m done with this in empathetic jerk. He is so unprofessional. I have been holding out until another dr is available but I’ll take my chances at a walk in clinic.
Doctor nofil is amazing however the older lady at the front clerk is very unprofessional and waves the finger instead of replying. Kindly teach your staff customer service because you lost me as a customer.
Dr. Nofil Akhtar is the BEST Doctor I've had in all my years living in Toronto. Very attentive and detailed. What my family doctor that I've had for decades never did he does and did in the eight short months I've been his patient. He is very thorough and sent me for all the appropriate test especially, test that have diagnosed a serious issue that my previous family doctor never took upon himself to checked with all my complaining but was more interested in getting me out of his office in five minutes or less...it is because of Dr. Akthar's patience, a listening ear and his accurate knowledgeable understanding of the symptoms I was complaining about, that I am here on a positive recovery path. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Nofil Akthar for the care am receiving from him...P. L
If I could give them 0 stars I would. I took my ONE YEAR OLD daughter here to be seen by the walk in clinic doctor after believing she had pink eye. The doctor seen my daughter and sent us home with nothing saying she did not have pink eye and to just continue with Tylenol EVEN AFTER informing the doctor she was unable to open her eyes that morning due to the gunk. I proceeded to go to another walk in clinic for babies after not feeling comfortable with being sent home with nothing and no clear information as to what was causing this. We went to the next Pediatric walk in clinic who after just VIEWING my daughters eye for 2 seconds clearly stated she did in-fact have serious pink eye and had no idea how the previous doctor could have sent my BABY home with absolutely nothing and the diagnosis of “shes fine”. I will never be going to this clinic again and have no idea how this doctor got his license or the amount of other patients that have been wrongly treated or diagnosed. This doctor also does not use proper tools and pulled out his iPhone to use as a flashlight to view my child no proper medical tools used. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. & ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING TO LEAVE A YOUNG CHILD UNTREATED WITH SUCH A SERIOUS ISSUE. I will be further contacting who I need to to insure this doctor is held responsible for his actions. Completely unacceptable.
Reed & Trust the reviews. Don't waste your time or support this doctor and his business. Yes, it is a business. If he can't hire, train, and maintain a basic level of customer service, he should not be operating his own practice. Go be a doctor at somebody else's clinic so you don't have to take care of the things you are unable or incapable of doing. Have your hours of operation listed on your voicemail. Don't have a voicemail that leads with "inbox full" and no other information. Don't post your hours of operation on a crumpled piece of paper on your front door while not updating Google, or have those hours listed in your voicemail. All simple things. Get rid of your practice and go back to being a doctor.
