Rosa is amazing! It’s my second time here and I love how she leaves my hair. Her customer service is amazing and overall the salon environment is very welcoming.
Rosangela at Ergys Studio did an amazing job with my haircut and new colour. I went in without knowing exactly what I wanted, Rosangela listened to what I had in mind and was able to develop the perfect cut and colour for my skin tone. I trust her to take care of my hair and she provided great care tips and recommendations.
I've been going to see Ergys for more than a decade and my hair always looks amazing after visiting the salon! The atmosphere is friendly and the service is excellent. Highly recommended!
I have had the good fortune to be a client of Ergys’ for over 15 years. It’s not just his skills as an attentive, authentic and brilliantly talented stylist that are exceptional, it’s also in the look and feel of the salon he created. My husband is also an acolyte of Ergys’ work as are my two teenaged sons who have only EVER had their hair cut by him. He is extraordinary. Given his high standards and quality of work, it’s no surprise, then, that the team Ergys has assembled at the salon is also excellent. Roseangela has been my colour specialist for some years now and she is simply divine - a keen eye, a careful and disciplined professional, a gifted artist in her field and a deeply kind, friendly and welcoming presence. I’m not being hyperbolic when I say she has made my life (and my hair) richer and more beautiful from day one. Do your hair and soul a favour - go to Ergys Studio.
I have been going to Ergys Studio for years and always leave happy. Rosangela Di Noto (aka ‘Rosa’) is brilliant at colour. She always manages my blond perfectly. I have literally been stopped by people in the street asking me who does my highlights.
Expensive for Mediocrity! I found this salon from Annie Clark's instagram. She recently got her hair dyed blonde and I thought since she's a celebrity and friends with the owner, this place must be legitimate and will not mess up my hair like other salons. Why are hair salons so untrustworthy and why are hairdressers such snakes sometimes? (not saying this salon is but many hairdressers will lie and overcharge.) I hadn't gotten my hair coloured out of fear it would be ruined and that's exactly what happened costing $500 for colouring (tip and tax included). I postponed making this review because I don't like speaking badly about others. Family members and friends urged me to write this. First of all, I booked with the owner, Ergyss, yet when I arrived, I was booked with a female junior stylist. Her name started with a D. and she looked Persian like me. I think she may have been one of the junior stylists, and yet I paid the premium price. The fact that this salon is on Eglinton yet is quite trashy and low-class, as well as depressing energy (others also reviewed this). Male dominant energy. Apparently there is a club here that opens up? Which gave me trashy vibes instead of a high-end hair salon. But I ignored that upon walking in since there was amazing coffee offered, it looked very clean. So that's where the two stars come from. When I got there, I was early for my appointment, and the first person I met was the bar tender. He talked to me for a while, told me to wait and sip on the coffee he made. I thought he would go and tell the others that I was here for my appointment. So I sat and enjoyed the coffee. I thought he was the owner, Ergyss, who I booked with! Yet really he was just shooting the breeze talking to me. I finish my coffee, thinking that I gave them enough time to set-up and hear the receptionist asking me where I have been? That I'm 15 minutes late and need to start. I am infuriated because the guy I met upon walking in told me to sit and wait. Miscommunication. It gets worse - I am paired with a girl instead of the owner! And the owner, Ergyss is nowhere to be found! They completely ignored my request to book with Ergyss. I spoke to Ergyss on the phone to tell him how I wanted my hair. If I knew I was going to be with anyone else, I would have canceled or not booked here at all. I also had to explain to three different people what I wanted. First the receptionist upon booking, then Ergyss, then the stylist. Why so much repetition and miscommunication? There was confusion about the Balayage. She did not explain to me what balayage is. (Another commenter below had this problem with a male stylist who didn't communicate what balayage is.) I showed a photo of what I wanted, but she made my hair way too blonde with toner. She told me to get my hair cut. I asked how much more it would be, she said $90. So I would be paying $600! no way! I already was stretching my budget paying $400-500. She seemed bored, depressed and dragging while doing my hair. These services should be priced at $150 at a salon like this. It is one of those salons that is located in a high-end part of town that gets away with charging 6x the price for something that is better done in a mall salon. I had to go to a different salon and paid another $350 to fix the colouring done by her. Costing me an arm and a leg! This was all thanks to Annie J. Clark on Instagram. Thanks Annie! These false celebrities lie to us and make us believe places are worth it and will have our back. Do not follow celebrities. Lesson I learned. Do not pay more than $120 on hair colouring. Read reviews. I followed Annie's advice because she lives in Toronto. Sad to see my culture having low standards. The ladies seemed negative/snobby. I don't like giving bad reviews and believe that businesses can change, and I believe the same thing with this salon. Don't take my word for it, maybe you will have a better experience than I did. But this my alleged opinion and perspective and I cannot say this was a good experience. I regret choosing this salon.
My experience at Ergys’ Studio was unlike any other! I went with my friend who was getting a cut and colour done, but they treated me with the same level of warmness and welcome. However while I was waiting for my friend I decided to look into their hair treatments and they told me if I wanted one done they would be able to fit me in then and there! They helped me pick a treatment best suited for my hair type and I had a very relaxing session with my stylist. After the treatment my hair felt rejuvenated, it was definitely stronger and shinier than before and had long lasting effects! I will definitely be back to Ergys’ Studio for another treatment soon! Thank you to the great staff for all their amazing work!
