Was walking along Eg West looking for a quick bite and was drawn in by the vibe Mixology had from what I could see from the outside. It seemed like something that belonged downtown which felt kinda nice to find up on Eglinton. They were closing down for the night so it was pretty quiet. I spoke to the guy behind the counter and he helped me decide on quasidilla pastor. I'll be so honest, I've never had anything like this. So much flavour with each bite. I'm so used to Mexican food in this part of town being dry and tasteless. I'm so happy that I now have a great option close to home. I still love Taco Fuego down the street, but it's a completely different style of Mexican food. I learned that Mexology is Mexico City style food, where as Fuego is more of a northern style restaurant. Looking forward to going back and trying something new. If you're looking for a refreshing take on authentic Mexican food in the neighbourhood, do yourself a favour and check this place out.
when we got there the atmosphere was clearly in development it’s clear that this place is on the track of the aesthetics . We placed an order on al pastor and two birria tacos with two Mexican cokes. We sat down for about 15 minutes until the first plate came out, then it took another five minutes for the other plate to come out. The alpastor tacos are like any other nothing really stood out about them. The birria tacos weren’t shut and they lacked the typical crunchiness that signify them. Outside of that they still tasted fine and wasn’t anything Outside of the ordinary. however the experience I had made me feel like I was In Any other taqueria in the GTA.But I think this place has all the power to stand out and be a high tear taco place here in Toronto. There for I would suggest coming for a quick bite.
We ordered the Alambre and an agua Fresca and both were delicious . Great service and super friendly staff. Very clean too! We thought the restaurant was new but they’ve been open for years!
They charge GST on the receipt without including the GST number, which can make it look like a bogus tax. Card payments incur an additional fee, and they also auto-add a tip without asking if you think they deserve it. Before you know it, you're paying $25 in taxes and tips on a bill that's only $65. It's pretty abusive. What I can't deny is that the food is good, I'll give them that credit.
Food was alright. One of the workers didn’t wanna serve me because I couldn’t speak spanish. (I am not spanish speaking) they seemed friendly but rude at the same time. It was kinda expensive but I did enjoy the Birria soup.
Delicious and fresh tasting! Impressed by the freshly made tortillas. I enjoyed the chorizo sopes and birria! Consumee was the most flavorful I’ve had in TO.
We ordered on uber eats on a lazy night thought we would give it a whirl. Very impressed. Pastor is on point. Portions are generous and churros got me wanting more. Cannot wait to try more from this place. Very legit. Good work
