I came to bring my niece for her birthday earlier this year and the staff were welcoming at first offering us tea, coffee etc but I noticed staff don’t value your time my appointment was for 1pm and they started on her hair at 3:30pm wasting a lot of her plans for that day then after the owner got the colouring wrong she said it was”my fault and that that I should have told her that her hair ain’t virgin hair” ( she has never put colour on her hair) the upped the price from the agreed 80$ to 120$ and that if I don’t want to pay and can’t afford I should just leave I felt so embarrassed and humiliated in front of the customers and what was supposed to be a girls day with my niece ended up being an hairstylist horror story
I can’t believe the state of my hair after the first wash and I’m in tears I can’t stop crying it’s my birthday weekend and my hair feels like plastics noodles I got a treatment and dye???? I’m so hurt my hair ment everything to me and I’m gonna have to cut it all of RHIS PLACE NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN
I came here and asked the owner of the salon a question. An older lady intervened and was very rude to me telling me that I interrupted her conversation when I never did. I told her that she was being rude. Gifty was watching her be rude to me but she didn’t not say anything to her. The moment I defended myself she tried to shame me instead of calling out that lady for her disrespectful behaviour. The thing with African culture is that they have the mindset where the older person can disrespect the younger person just cause they’re older. You guys can take your way of thinking back home. I also tried to charge my phone and she mentioned that she needs to start charging people to charge their phone. How can someone be so cheap towards their customers.
The results were even better than I expected and it was a very detailed job. Thank you to Gifty and her team ? They are professional and simply the best. The prices are very good. The customer service was excellent and they make you feel like you’re at home.
I came here for a silk press and deep wash after a recommendation from my friend. This was the best decision. My hair was looking the best as ever and the silk press is unlike anything before. The prices are very affordable. Gifty is very efficient and didn’t keep me for a very long time. I will be coming back.
Extremely Disappointing — Don’t Bother Coming Here. Wish I could give 0 stars. I had a terrible experience at this salon. We didn’t even stay for the appointment because the way we were treated was so unprofessional. From the moment we walked in, the staff was rude, unwelcoming, and completely uninterested in providing any kind of basic customer service. No one acknowledged us, no one explained anything, and when we asked simple questions, we were met with attitude and dismissiveness. It was clear they had no respect for their clients — so we decided to walk out. This place does not deserve your time or money. There are plenty of salons where you’ll actually be treated with basic courtesy. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
The owner gifty is talented and understand all hair type. Recently , in the past 4 years I noticed she shows favouritism among her clients . I’ve been coming to her salon for more than 10 years. I unfortunately, had to stop going because she doesn’t respect her clients time. She use to say ”first come, first serve” now it’s “if I know you and like you, you come first no matter whose ahead of you”. I’m very disappointed.
