I brought my daughter in for a haircut with Alison after a close friend recommended the salon, and we had such a fantastic experience! She has thicker hair and we were trying something new, and Alison was the perfect match to my 10 yo. She made my daughter feel comfortable, excited and confident about the change and it turned out exactly how she had envisioned it. Alison showed her different ways she could style her hair and left her feeling like she had a spa day over the course of the hour. The salon itself was spotless and welcoming, and I saw all ages coming through. We'll definitely be back to see Alison again!
I had a wonderful experience with Alison at this salon. I was looking for a change with my hair, I randomly selected this salon from Google Maps and called to inquire about a same-day walk-in appointment. Alison answered, explained that they are a junior stylist, and were completely transparent with the pricing. Before starting, Alison took the time to ask about my desired look. They listened intently to what I wanted and gave some really excellent suggestions for different styles we could try. During the cutting process, they were great about sharing hair advice, tips, and tricks for maintaining my specific (wavy-ish) hair texture. Here is what I appreciated the most about the experience: After the initial cut and style, I realized I wanted my hair to be shorter. I was very apologetic for not being happy, to which Alison responded, "No, you're good! I'm glad you're saying something. I'd rather you say something than be walking around with something you don't like." Without any hesitation, they immediately started to re-cut and re-style my hair. As someone who struggles with anxiety and tends to be non-confrontational, I incredibly appreciated their empathetic and understanding approach to the situation. I'm happy to report that I love my new hair look! I definitely will be back. I highly recommend this salon. Also, upon observation of other staff, everyone seemed friendly and knowledgeable about their craft.
5/5 purely because of Camilla! I was looking for a new salon and I’ll be honest this salon had so many red flags before the lovely Camilla welcomed me. They don’t seem to have an answering service or someone at the front desk which at one point made me want to switch my appointment since I couldn’t get a hold of anyone, then when I arrived the salon sign was so out dated I got concerned, it looked run down from the outside. But honestly Camilla greeted me, the inside was much more up to date, Camilla immediately made me feel so welcomed and listened to! For those of you who are Slavic this woman can speak several Slavic languages which is such a comfort when missing home. 100/10 stylish my hair looked amazing when she finished and it was exactly what I wanted!
The service was amazing. Camila was the one who took care of me; she was nice and gentle, asking for my preferences and followed through what I want! 10/10 would come again!
Had a cut and colour with Vince . It was my first time and I am still pleased with my cut two weeks later . He saw my vision and created it . My hair has been feeling much healthier and I need less product cause the cut sits so well ! Thank you I feel reborn !
I have been going to my hairdresser Lucy for many years. She is an amazing colorist and a very friendly and down to earth person. She has never steered me wrong when it comes to my hair. Her daughter Sabrina also works there and has done my daughter’s hair several times. My daughter always comes out looking fantastic. The rest of the staff is also very friendly and the salon is very centrally located and competitive when it comes to price of services . I am a big fan of all the staff at The Colour Room. I would highly recommend this salon. You will not be disappointed!!
This salon charges you a lot of money but the work is absolutely unprofessional and horrible. I came here for highlights for the first time and the woman looked like she was doing me a favour and she looked like she was scared touching my hair, washed my hair with hot water had to tell her 2 times to use lukewarm water, didn’t even blow dried my hair properly. The style was gone by the time I got home!! What!!! Please… If you hate your job then find something else to do. Hairdresser is a very personal job you are touching another person. Then I decided to give them another chance with my daughter coming here to dye her from dark red to dark brown (natural colour so easy?) and the woman did colour & toner on her 2 times!!! charging her $250 for colour and toner when she only needed colour!! what a bunch of crooks. They call themselves the colour room? should be called the rip off room. The place is old and run down. The owner looks like she does not care. I hope they go bankrupt because that’s karma. Oh… my daughters hair? Looked exactly the same 1 week later!! So, as a woman with no knowledge about hairdressing went to Sally’s beauty bought a nice brown and I did her hair myself with 2 boxes of colour and 1 bottle of developer total cost $40.00 Don’t waste your money here trust me. Signed extremely disappointed and horrified ??? .
