We have been using World of Comfort to install our boiler system and maintain it for many years. We moved last year to a home with another boiler and based on my experience with them I asked to check our system. Jigmey Namgyal came and inspected our system, gave me a few tips and did a great job. Greatly appreciated!
Brian O'Connell and his team provided an excellent A/C product for our laneway house, along with expert installation. Brian walked us through our various options and answered all of our questions with expertise. We're really pleased with his service and with the final product.
I paid them $200 to break my furnace. Called them to do a yearly furnace maintenance and install a new thermostat. My 9 year old top of the line York furnace was working fine before they showed up. Next thing, they tell me my furnace isn't working and that the board is fried on it. He went through multiple things that were going to break and suggested we get a new York furnace. Of course they're a York dealer. I thanked them and asked them to re-hook the wires up as they were to the furnace board and the thermostat and paid them. Once they were gone, my heat not working, I went down to inspect how they re-hooked the wiring back onto the board. I had taken a picture of it prior to them showing up. They did not wire it as it was nor did they wire the old thermostat as it was. My suspicions are that they forgot to turn the power off to the furnace before starting to work on it and shorted the board out. Chances are I'm going to have to get a new furnace now and be without heat for a couple of days. I wish I'd never called this company. Don't trust them. I've got another contractor coming for a second opinion. Fingers crossed I don't have to get a new furnace. I hold World of Comfort fully responsible for this but it's unlikely I'll be able to prove they did anything to damage my furnace. NEVER AGAIN. ***UPDATE*** Another company came to look at my furnace and had it up and running in 10 minutes. The fuse on the furnace board had blown.
My boiler heating system keep getting noise (water hammer ), called in the service guy, just did basic cleaning, didn't even check the water pressure inside boiler and all the valves, said all normal, but later I found out myself, the pressure is very low. I don't recommend their service.
World of Comfort has been my go-to supplier for sales and service on my home's heating system for as long as I can remember. My wife and I have bought more than one high efficiency boiler from them over the years, upgrading from one unit to another as time passes and improvements in technology have been made. We have consistently relied upon the quality of their customer service to do the job -- whether they are installing a new unit, making necessary repairs to the boiler, or conducting routine maintenance.
